As the Topic of Stem Cell Research Moves to the Election Stage, Author Christian Wilde Says Sarah Palin is Not Against Stem Cell Research

Studio City, CA (PRWEB) September 11, 2008 — World leading scientists support Palin’s position but on purely scientific grounds, not necessarily for moral or religious reasons. Author/researcher documents how the very diseases the public was told could only benefit from embryonic stem cells are instead being treated successfully today with adult stem cells, including diabetes, MS, Parkinson’s, spinal injury and heart failure. www.myheartbook.com
Supporting adult stem cell research over embryonic does not mean someone is against stem cell research. For example: the world’s leading embryology professor, Ian Wilmut of Edinburgh, Scotland (cloned “Dolly” the sheep), stunned the entire stem cell research community when he announced last year that he was turning from embryonic research in favor of adult skin cells. The professor did not base his conclusions on religious or moral preference but on solid scientific principal. Interestingly, Professor Wilmut has never believed embryonic research to be unethical. He simply concluded, there is a better way to accomplish the objective by using skin cells which also eliminates the debate of destroying the embryo. www.myheartbook.com

Perhaps nowhere has the case for adult cells been made more succinctly than in author/researcher Christian Wilde’s landmark book, Miracle Stem Cell Heart Repair and the Wilde Stem Cell Research quarterly report documenting breakthroughs for more than 60 catastrophic diseases. The report brings hope to families desperately waiting for positive information. As a guest on more than 200 radio shows, the author explains, ”If you take the moral, political and ethical concerns off the table, the scientific issues alone confronting ESC research are in themselves, daunting. Before an ESC can be safely injected into a human being it must be proven safe in an animal study. In cases to date, animal subjects have experienced massive tumor growth and immune rejection by the body.” He believes the public deserves balanced non-selective and unbiased reporting on both forms of stem cell research. www.myheartbook.com
Politicians will ask us to allocate billions for stem cell research without having a clue as to what is possible, probable or even feasible. The public, not aware of the progress being made, blame the administration for holding back research, however, Neurologist Dr. Carlos Lima, addressing the House of Lords in England reminded all in attendance that even though it is a fact that government funding for embryonic research had been limited in both England and the US, ESC research has been going on unfettered for more than 11 years in the rest of the world including China, Russia, Korea, India and Germany. Still in spite of the research a successful therapy has not been developed anywhere in the world.
Another respected stem cell world leader, Colin McGukin has said, “The best estimates of the embryonic scientists in our own university in Newcastle is that embryonic stem cells may not be able to help people this side of 50 years. That’s my lifetime, and that’s worrying. We can’t wait that long. Colin McGukin, professor of regenerative medicine, Newcastle University” Colin McGukin and Nico Forraz are the two scientists who have actually developed human livers from cord blood stem cells. Currently heart failure is claiming the lives of 22 million victims world wide with a one- to seven-year life expectancy and 50% not making the five-year mark. There is good news a-coming, Miracle Stem Cell Heart Repair documents the “no option” heart patient’s stories who have successfully transitioned within the FDA trials from near death to recovery following a one-time, minimally invasive procedure using their own thigh muscle stem cells. Why, asks Wilde, should it be headline world news that someday an embryonic stem cell will possibly heal a mouse heart, but nowhere is there a headline that proclaims hundreds of actual living breathing people (not mice) have already had their damaged hearts repaired with adult stem cells? Is this a case of selective reporting?
Miracle Stem Cell Heart Repair (www.myheartbook.com) contributors are eight of the world’s leading stem cell scientists, serving as directors of cardiovascular cell therapy from the universities of Columbia, UCSD, Pittsburgh, Minnesota, Tufts, Johns Hopkins, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Arizona Heart and Minnesota Heart Institutes and directing the ongoing FDA trials.
